The short, N.D.E (Near Death Experience), is a story which tells the tale of a troubled teen’s awakening from a life of drugs and crime to becoming an artistic staple serving youths in his community. The work will start as a graphic novel prior to being produced as a film.
Penny Adamopoulos is Greek-American independent producer, journalist, writer, and most of all an artist at heart. With over 25 years experience internationally in breaking, researching, developing and producing stories for Radio, Television, Cinema and Multimedia platforms, Penny has received and has been nominated with a municipality award for her production design in the city of Athens, Emmy nominated for her production skills on Documentary Drama as well as the Luxembourg Art Prize for her participation. She is member of many international women organizations in Film & Media, along with being a member of the “100 Producers Program” of Largo Artificial Intelligence.
As a young professional attaché for the United Nations, she has been chosen to work with Charlie Rose for his television show, where she started her debut in journalism. She has worked with Bob Woodruff, Diane Sawyer, Peter Jennings and other distinguished media professionals. Being a member of the campaign for “the Return of the Parthenon Marbles”, she developed the pre-production as well as direct- casting for the movie “Promakhos, First Line”. Instantly, she decided to become an Independent filmmaker to develop inspirational content for raising people’s awareness.
As well as her professional background, Penny is also a Fellow of the The Complimentary Medical Association in the UK, specializing in self-mastering coaching through storytelling. Her unusual and rather rare combination of expertise is being applied in her spiritual journey and practice called SynDemiurgia, Co-Creation in Greek.
Penny is an enthusiastic, multicultural aspiring professional, creative soul, born leader, loves storytelling and believes LOGOS, in any shape or form, is power.
Moved by Desposyni, Penny believes in this compelling story to inspire women and girls to discover their greatness. Being an active producer, she has ignited the spark to create, along with Fredric and Jean, the new born production company BrightStag Films. Additionally she has travelled with Desposyni in most of the film festivals and she has presented Desposyni on stage with collaborator Largo Films – Largo AI to EFM events.
Penny has appeared in Chasing Life, an ABC Family television drama series as a Greek dancer and in Greed, a movie with Steve Coogan. She is bilingual in English and Greek and she has an etiquette in Italian and French.
Desposyni is a revisionist portrayal of Mary Magdalene which has been touted to have the potential to “Rock the Box Office” as stated by New Zealand based movie producer Jonathan Zsofi, Zsofi Pictures.
The film will inspire those hungry for a more meaningful and transcendent depiction of Christ’s hidden teachings, his inner circle, Bloodline and Legacy.
As an artist, Jean shares her insights through poetry, visual imagery, public forums, articles, and storytelling. Her books are entitled, ‘Angel’s Eye’ and ‘…is…what a Poet said.’
She has completed several feature length screenplays and has an IMDb Credit for Script Editor for The Lost Girl. She is also the Facilitator of the Poetry for your Mind forum and Mystery School series in Philadelphia.
